Overview

Verify DNS propagation, install an SSL certificate, and confirm the site loads securely.

Procedure

1. Verify DNS Propagation

1. Go to dnschecker.org
2. Search your domain
3. Confirm you see green checks on the A record
4. You need at least a couple green checks to proceed

2. Install SSL Certificate

1. Go to SiteGround
2. Navigate to Security then SSL Manager
3. Find your domain
4. Select Let's Encrypt and click Get
5. Wait for the certificate to install

3. Enable HTTPS

1. In SiteGround Security, click on HTTPS Enforce
2. Toggle it on

4. Test the Site

1. Open a browser
2. Navigate to your domain URL
3. Confirm the site loads
4. Confirm the padlock icon (HTTPS) is showing

Ugly is Fine

The site does not need to look good. It just needs to load, be secure, and have content relevant to your business category.
